Sangay Foundation is an Alao community-based institution that wants to tackle the problem of the conservation of Sangay National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in Danger, via a global approach and from a native ecocentric perspective and involvement.

Our mission is to envision and devise long-term strategies aimed at consciously interpreting and improving native community life in the Alao area in view of the conservation efforts devoted to the nearby Sangay National Park.

Our mandate is broad, ranging from projects on park's buffering, reforestation, exploration, and conservation, to defining the improvement of educational, agricultural, medical and economic infrastructures and techniques within Alao and nearby native communities.

We can accomplish this only with the support of concerned citizens who care about the future of the Park and of the Earth. We invite your help.
